  Hooked -  Meaning -  - curved like a hook , addicted , strongly attracted to something or someone . - devoted to or obsessed with or absorbed in something. - If you are hooked on something , you find it so attractive or interesting that you want to do it as much as possible. Examples -  1) John and his brother were hooked on television. 2) I first got hooked on scuba diving when I was twelve.

  Ask over  Meaning - to invite someone to one's house. Examples -  1) I asked her over so we could complete our homework. 2) Bob has asked us over for drinks.

  Ask out  Meaning - to invite somebody to go out with you , especially in starting a romantic relationship or date. to invite someone to come with you to a place such as the cinema or a restaurant. Meaning in Hindi - किसी को अपने साथ बाहर जाने के लिए आमंत्रित करने के लिए, विशेष रूप से एक रोमांटिक संबंध या तारीख शुरू करने के लिए। किसी को अपने साथ सिनेमा या रेस्तरां जैसी जगह पर आने के लिए आमंत्रित करना। Examples -  1) She has asked Steve out to the cinema this evening. 2) When he finally asked her out , she readily accepted and very soon they were dating on a regular basis.

  Add up to  Meaning - to form a total or combine to produce a result or effect. Meaning in Hindi - परिणाम या प्रभाव उत्पन्न करने के लिए कुल या संयोजन बनाना। Examples   1) His business expenses add up to around $4000 a year. 2) It all added up to a lot of hard work for all of us. 3) For a hit show , profits can add up to millions of dollars.

  Add up   Meaning - to calculate a total sum or to increase by small amounts until there is large total.  Examples   1) When you are feeding a family of six, the bills soon add up. 2) Now add up the number of calories you have eaten. If  a set of facts does not add up , you do not believe it is correct because it does not match other information you already have. Example - There is something about this case that just does not add up. If something adds up , it makes sense or is reasonable. Examples - 1) Her story does not add up , I think she is lying. 2) Watson claimed he was at home at the time of murder but police said his story didn't add up.

Act up Meaning  - to behave badly OR to not work properly. If a machine or part of the body or anything acts up , it does not perform as well as it should. Meaning in Hindi - बुरा व्यवहार करना या ठीक से काम न करना।  यदि कोई मशीन या शरीर का कोई अंग या कोई चीज काम करती है, तो वह उतना अच्छा प्रदर्शन नहीं कर पाती है जितना उसे करना चाहिए। Examples - 1) I think I need to take my car to the mechanic because it is acting up again.
