Act up

Meaning - to behave badly OR to not work properly.

If a machine or part of the body or anything acts up , it does not perform as well as it should.

Meaning in Hindi - बुरा व्यवहार करना या ठीक से काम न करना। 

यदि कोई मशीन या शरीर का कोई अंग या कोई चीज काम करती है, तो वह उतना अच्छा प्रदर्शन नहीं कर पाती है जितना उसे करना चाहिए।

Examples -

1) I think I need to take my car to the mechanic because it is acting up again.

Meaning in Hindi - मुझे लगता है कि मुझे अपनी कार मैकेनिक के पास ले जाने की जरूरत है क्योंकि यह फिर से काम कर रही है।

2) Her knees were acting up.

Meaning in Hindi - उसके घुटनों में दर्द हो रहा था।
