 Daily vocabulary from Hindi 

   

1) Sheriff - an elected officer who makes sure that the law is obeyed in a particular region.

    Meaning in Hindi - एक निर्वाचित अधिकारी जो यह सुनिश्चित करता है कि किसी विशेष क्षेत्र में कानून का पालन किया जाता है।

   Eg. Are you the sheriff?

   Meaning in Hindi - क्या आप शेरिफ हैं?

   

 

 2) Successor - inheritor , a person or thing that follows / succeeds / continues to a throne , office , job , place.

     Meaning in Hindi - उत्तराधिकारी, एक व्यक्ति या चीज जो सिंहासन, कार्यालय, नौकरी, स्थान का अनुसरण करती है / सफल होती है / जारी रहती है।

     Eg. He proved himself a worthy                   successor.

     Meaning in Hindi - उन्होंने खुद को एक योग्य उत्तराधिकारी साबित किया।

 

 

 3) Noble - a)  If you are a noble person , you admire and respect other people without being mean and selfish. b) you are generous , honest , and have courage. c) belonging to highest social rank.

    Meaning in Hindi - a) यदि आप एक नेक व्यक्ति हैं, तो आप मतलबी और स्वार्थी हुए बिना अन्य लोगों की प्रशंसा और सम्मान करते हैं। b) आप उदार, ईमानदार और साहसी हैं। c) उच्चतम सामाजिक रैंक से संबंधित।

   Eg. He was a noble man , we all respect him.

   Meaning in Hindi - वह एक नेक आदमी थे, हम सब उनका सम्मान करते हैं।

 

 4) Contender - competitor , contestant , a person or a group competing with others to win or to achieve something.

     Meaning in Hindi - प्रतियोगी, प्रतियोगी, एक व्यक्ति या समूह जो दूसरों के साथ जीतने या कुछ हासिल करने के लिए प्रतिस्पर्धा करता है।

     Eg. In a game of cricket , each team is a contender to the other , playing against each other to win / for victory.

     Meaning in Hindi - क्रिकेट के खेल में, प्रत्येक टीम दूसरे के लिए एक प्रतियोगी है, एक दूसरे के खिलाफ जीतने के लिए / जीत के लिए खेल रही है।

  

 5) Throne - sovereignty , a special chair used by a ruler , king or queen.

     Meaning in Hindi - संप्रभुता, एक शासक, राजा या रानी द्वारा इस्तेमाल की जाने वाली एक विशेष कुर्सी।

     Eg. As the Queen of the kingdom sat on her throne , the criminal came before the Queen to explain his case.

     Meaning in Hindi - जैसे ही राज्य की रानी अपने सिंहासन पर बैठी, अपराधी रानी के सामने अपना मामला समझाने के लिए आया।
